Roger Cox 1
Will be using the Evolution 20 where the manufacturer recommends the ignition system should run with a 2 cell lipo - when I connect the 'other side' of the kill switch to the receiver won't the voltage be to high ? GrahamWh
Does one cut the red wire in the lead from the receiver to the kill switch, so only the signal gets through (and ground of course) and the 2s voltage from the lipo can't get to the receiver Roger? Peter Atkins
Just fitting a kill switch to the same engine. I'm using the Rexon unit. As I understand the battery for the ignition unit is isolated opticaly so only used for the ignition unit. If you Google opto kill switch there is some diagrams on how to connect.pete
cymaz
Having read other threads, using a 2s lipo for ignition won't be a problem. I use Rcexl opto kill switches. Just plug in as per labels on the unit and you're away. Setting up the tx switch you want to turn the isolator on and off can be a pain but once you get your head round it, it's ok. Here is a thread to get your teeth into. Interesting to note some people are having trouble with them with certain Tx's.
