Rocker
Anyone brought one of the new Kyosho spitfire, having had the old Spitfire and Me 109 and thought they where excellent in value and performance. Now I see they have brought a new Spitfire out but at £250 it is a bit pricey for a small Spitfire ,you can buy a large Spitfire for less just wondered if anyone has brought one and do they think it is worth the £250 price tag ? Brian Cooper
I still have an old Spitfire 90 and it gets flown regularly. The handling is brilliant and it is an absolute beauty to fly. It was a sad day when Kyosho stopped producing this classic aeroplane, and we have been eagerly waiting for a replacement to appear in their catalogue. However, this new (50 size) Mk5 is not big enough at a measly 55" span. . . and it certainly isn't big enough for the £250 price tag. B.C. stuey
I have the second gen one with a .61 4 stroke. It flies really well, and was about £135 when I bought it. I saw one at wings n wheels yesterday, and winced at the price! If it was the 90 size maybe, but too much imo for that size. Shame as its probably a nice model. Gavin Mack
I have just ordered one of these as it has a battery hatch to allow lipo use, unlike the previous ones (of which I have 2, 1 ic os 56 alpha, 1 electric with A123's permanently installed). the size means I can fit it in the car assembled which is useful.
