Christian Thomas
I cart wheeled my RCRCM Sunbird and have damaged the wing tip. It is hardly noticeable to look at (slight crease on top, looks perfect underneath) I would have put a photo on but there is nothing to see! It is however very weak and I imagine if takes another knock will damage quite badly. Anyone had similar damage? What is the best way of repairing? russ d
I had a similar mishap with my sunbird ! One thing I will mention is that the wing is glass over balsa and if you are unlucky the internals can be more damaged then the outer looks ( on mine the balsa used was very soft). I opened up the glass skin along the joint using a thin scapel and very carefully used thin cyno to glue the balsa & then reattached the skin using cyno with masking tape to hold in position. They always fly better after being repaired ! or is it because you don't care so much ? russ.
Don Fry
A totally hooligan repair, to be abhorred, with practitioners to be fired at the mouth of a canon, but wot works is to drill some very small holes, or pin holes, lots of them, in strategies positions in the skin, and wick thin superglue through them. Quick slosh round, and it all tends to become stronger, and non floppy.

Christian Thomas
OK sounds like I need to get the small drills out! I don't think the crease is bad enough to need filling. Thanks for all your words of wisdom!
