Trying to change e-mail address

Hi,

I am trying to change my e-mail address.

I have been to settings, my account and changed the address as required and put in my password..

Then clicked enter and it says account updated, but then when I go back my current address is still the old one.

Only thing I can think of is my password may be wrong, but cannot find any where to request a new password.

Am I missing something?

Your email address is part of your UserID. When you re-login are you loging in using the new email adress or the old one?

I suggest that you:

1. Change your email address in Modelflying.

2. Close the site.

3. Delete the cache (and possibly the cookies) on your machine.

4. Turn the computer off.

5. Restart the computer, fire up Modelflying and log in with your new email address.

If that doesn't work let us know.

Sorry I have been away from computer.

I usually stay logged in, but will try logging out and back in again.

I don`t really want to delete the cache as I think that removes passwords? and I haven`t been on my other sites yet to change passwords.

Danny I had not been receiving alerts either until the other day but I am now.

That went well, NOT.

Logged out, turned off, restarted. Logged on with every combination of e-mail address and password I could think of.

Not recognised.

Just now tried again, and to be honest not sure what I have done but here I am. Puzzled????

Just looked at my account and still showing current e-mail as the old one.

I just changed my email address by going to "Settings", and then "My Account".

There I followed the instructions, typed in my new email address twice and left my current password, then clicked "Update Email Address"

That all got saved OK, but I was still logged in.

Clicking logout - er... logged me out.

After that, I can only log in with my new email address and original password.

Hi, guys thanks for your help.

I think I have finally managed to crack it. thumbs up All as you said above Chris, but for some reason could only log in with my old address and the new password sent to me via e-mail. So, I did that then changed password.Logged out, back in again and changed address. Woo hoo it worked. Then got validation e-mail so clicked that and it now all appears OK in My Account.
