axn back in the air/how to add flaps

Borrowed a couple of servo,s from my rather poorly super kinetic 815 to get the axn back in the air everything seems fine flew off the orme last week and had a cheeky session on the beach at colwyn bay late in the evening so a fairly empty beach at low water so enough space.

It does seem the axn needs a lot of room to land as it floats forever especially when there is not much wind. Question can I use the airlerons as flaps as two servos connected to one channel with a y harness. 6 channel tx and rx however I am using a cheap hobbyking tx a T6-V2 you can programme it of a laptop with the supplied tpconfig programme but it is pain in the bum. I presume I ditch the y harness and have to plug each servo into a separate channel but not sure what to do from there.

If you can programme flaps on the T6, you'll be able to set 'spoilerons', which is where both ailerons are raised instead of lowered. This has a similar effect to flaps by increasing the sink rate. I've used it on a number of gliders and it helps considerably - you will need to separate the aileron servos, of course.
