Another model that 'wowed' me at the BMFA Southern Area Electric Event was this gorgeous twin-engined short-haul biplane airliner. Built in 2008 and it looked brand new. Super light at only 5lbs as only has a 3S3000 pack to power both it's motors. Amazing duration at 11 minutes! Just to show what an awesome model this is have a quick look for comparison at the vid which is of the full size I captured in 2014. When they are in air I bet you wouldn't be able to tell the difference aside from the obvious lack of engine noise from the model. Fantastic stuff!

Yes, the model's light weight means that any breeze can pose a problem. However, since I fitted the Eagle Tree Guardian stabiliser, it is now quite flyable in the sort of moderate breeze we had at Middle Wallop. However, a scale-like airspeed and a full size headwind do not translate into a realistic ground speed on landing. I could perhaps have throttled up a bit on landing to try to extend the rollout but, to be honest, I was grateful to be down safely!
