Tony Bennett
naaa. tissues and diluted ronseal. not big enough for brown paper in my mind. tissue will fit round the curves better than brown paper would. as René Descartes said. Tony Bennett
Today i managed to print out the wing plans and cut the wing cores out from 6mm Depron. a nice big fat wing so it should fly nice and slowly. if i finish it.
Plummet
Will you complete the amazing realism by having a steward or stewardess carrying a tray up and down the isles? (This could easily be made of use in case you need to adjust the C of G in flight. ) Plummet
Tony Bennett
good idea sir. winch servo with a cable attached to the steward. hmmmmmmm no n no no no. he he he

Tony Bennett
spars made for the outer sections of the wings. I have designed all the ribs in Cad and printed off the templates, so i can cut them all out tomorrow and get building again.
Colin Leighfield
You've certainly got your Depron building techniques well sussed! Looking good.
Tony Bennett
It is starting to become easier. the building and design method is pretty standardized now. so i can crack on quite quickly.
Tony Bennett
Well the underside of the wing is now sheeted. the parts that are still open are where the nacelles will go, once i have designed them that is. Ailerons tomorrow... i hope.
Colin Leighfield
Tony, which Depron are using on the wings, standard or aero? Is it 3mm?
Tony Bennett
Hello Colin I am using standard white 3mm Depron for the sheeting and 6mm grey Depron for the internals. The white is that little bit stiffer than the grey and does not curve as easily, but it is slightly stronger. thank you for asking Tony B
Tony Bennett
Been working on the four nacelles just lately. long slow job, but we are getting there. motors have been ordered, so i will be fitting them as soon as the arrive. need to get back to writing over the weekend, so no building for me. Colin Leighfield
Have you designed the retract layout yet Tony?
Tony Bennett
retract goes in the ply bit, legs down the middle and the wheel goes in the end. half the wheel will hang out below the nacelle, just like the full size.
Colin Leighfield
Spot on mate.

Colin Leighfield
Bearing in mind that this started out as a filler while you waited for bits for the Varsity, it out has turned out as another unique project. Well done Tony, this is really good. Edited By Colin Leighfield on 27/11/2016 00:42:
