I use two in my Tony Nijhus Beaufighter as it needed the extra weight anyway and have found them excellent.

Acrowot will not stall turn.

Thanks for all the good advice guys. -
I have an Acrowot foamie which is generally a good flier but I can not get it to do a tidy stall turn. It gets about half way round then sort of flops down towards the uc. I have tried keeping a bit of power on or adding a bit of up elevator but neither really helps. anyone had similar experience or advice please?

Just found this in the skip at work. Quick clean up and it works fine. What some people throw away!

My bat safe box arrived yesterday, seems a decent bit of kit.

I did not buy it PDP it was a Xmas present. Using the info you sent I think it might not be a genuine one! scary stuff!

I have just had two battery’s catch fire on consecutive charges so I think my charger must be faulty. I was monitoring the second one. The charger beeped to indicate full charge, then the battery just burst into flames. Luckily I charge outside. Won’t be using that charger again! It is an IMAX B6 and is less than 5 months old!

Shaun , I am interested in the motors, speed controllers and the imax charger. How much for all with postage please send a pm, thanks Cliff

If like me you are old enough to use saga you can pay a small premium the first year which guarantees your premiums do not go up for three years and it’s a reasonable price .Provided you don’t have any accident of course.

Mine has control surfaces as the original plan with no rudders.

I am on my second one and I love it, flies really slow or very fast! Great fun. I built my first one and was gutted when I stacked it. Bought my second one slightly damaged from BMFA swapmeet for £20 quid with motor and esc and it flies great.

I have to admit the construction is quite chunky! I will reduce weight where I can especially at the tail. Some of the kit is not as good quality as I expected. For instance the formers have to be made from three pieces laminated together and the slots for the stringers do not all line up exactly together so some adjustment is necessary.

Here is my latest project. It’s a Fieseler Storch from the old svenson kit.
