Ian Jones
There has been a fair old outcry regarding the lack of any reasonable information for new/intermediate users of 3D printers. I don't suppose it has all the answers but I've just come across "THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO 3D PRINTING" which seems to be pretty informative. Getting it does involve signing up to a news letter but you can always cancel it afterwards if you want to. It's all down to the cheerful lot at Rigid.Ink a UK based supplier of filament whose website contains loads of useful information in their resource section. If you scroll down the first page of that section you will find the information on getting the 48 page booklet as a pdf file. Further more if you peruse their website further you will find that you can buy sample lengths of filament to try, there's even some free samples of PLA or ABS going. I've ordered mine! Colin Bernard
Halfway through a spool of Rigid.Ink filament at the moment and can recommend it and the booklet that Ian mentions. Two useful resources for troubleshooting are this off the Simplfy3D website and this from the RepRap Wiki site,

Ian Jones
Quite a few pop up fairly frequently Zoe, if you look here you will see some threads specifically for certain printers.
