christopher small
I bought some Aerokote fuel proofer a couple of months ago, which i went to use today, but the large bottle had a very thick half inch layer in the bottom ,which wouldn`t mix up when i shook it,should i put it somewhere warm to thin down,or stir it up with a screwdriver.Any ideas please. Andy Green
I've not seen that before and I have some thats a couple of years old.Is it the matt one, if so it maybe the matting agent that has sunk to the bottom.Andy
001
Loosen the bottle top, fill a bowl with hot (not boiling or near boiling) water, stand it upright so no water can get in the bottle, leave for thirty minutes or so and then remove, tighten the cap, give the bottle a good shake, the deposit should mix. Loosen the cap again, let it cool down, tighten the cap, shake it again, test it on some scrap material. As it is only a couple of months old it should be alright unless the cap has been left loose in storage or it has become contaminated.
