Mark Kettle 1
Steve McLaren built Folland Gnat construction from conventional balsa ply with a foam cored wing. Peter Garsden built A4 Skyhawk from balsa and ply and finish off with fibreglass cloth and spray paint. Tim Mackey purchased is Durafly Vampire from Hobbyking and is made from tough EPO foam it is easy to assemble and the servo's are all pre-installed. Andy G.
Nice planes and some nice flying. Now, although I have flown quite a bit off slopes (not pss) I was very surprised at how flat the turns of all these models were, hardly any bank angle at all. Is this normal for PSS? Andy Meade
Not particularly - just these airframes and the way in which they are being flown on the day
bouncebounce crunch
Just realised the Skyhawk was a Matt Jones. I remember seeing pictures in RCM&E of a Skyhawk gathering.Guessing it was in Wales and there were some excellent looking variations. wait! could have been one of the defunct magazines from 1999- 2000 Hoping RCM&E could do a plan resurrection of said model. Mark Kettle 1
If Tim Mackey reads this thread he may add some pictures about his Vampire. Edited By Mark Kettle 1 on 19/01/2017 09:32:
