Danny Fenton
Can anyone tell me if I can mix a crystal (ie non-synthesised) Rx with a synthesised Tx. I am trying 400 electric and can't seem to find any mini synthesised Rx.Cheers
winchweight
I think that's the point. You can use a synth tx with any rx, as long as you can dial it up on the box. I have an Optic 6 synth, and use it with my Futaba, HiTec and GWS rx.
nasa_steve
danny yes that is the whole idea of synth tx's also depends which make of tx you have but JR do a synth reciever in both PPM or PCM that are very small in size and price for their technologyregardsnasa
Danny Fenton
Thanks Shaun and Steve, do you know if the connectors for the Rx's you mention will mate to most of the aftermarket servos, such as Hitec, GWS etc?
winchweight
The rxs have a standard slot as a rule. The only thing you may need to do is shave off the little tab on the side of the futaba servos. Oh, and watch the wire colour coding as it's not standard on the cheaper servos. In case you didn't already no, make sure the crystal you put into the rx is the same make as the rx itself.Otherwise, that's it. nasa_steve
danny JR servo leads will mate with all the well known brands barring multiplex (i think) but futaba servo's will have to be adapted to suit JR sockets as such. standard colours are JR orange (signal) red(+) brown (-) or futaba white (signal) red (+) black (-) regardsnasa
Broken Prop
Hi DannyI too use Hitech Optic 6 with crystal rx's of all sorts of weird makes. Never had any compatibility problems.......mind you, I do crash a lot.(I think that might be more due to the classic 'operator/transmitter interface error' tho')Pete
