Capt Kremen Posted October 5, 2017 Share Posted October 5, 2017 About to commence a Cloud Models PB 'Bullet' build. This has strip ailerons. My impression, rightly or wrongly(?), is that 'tip/outboard' ailerons are more effective, giving crisper and more precise rolls. (Maybe it's just my poor flying!) What thoughts, outboard ailerons, or full span strips as per original and the kit? A supplementary, if I may. If I fit outboard ailerons, thus allowing the inboard portion of the wing to be 'flapped', would it significantly weaken the foam veneered wing in cutting a thin slot for the servo leads? (I would probably infill with a balsa cap in any case). Thanks in anticipation and for any hints 'n tips on the build, (for electric power), appreciated. Posted October 5, 2017 Share Posted October 5, 2017 I would leave them as they should be....in the good old days of the original "bullet" it was a goodin for displaying its tip stall if you stopped it from flying......I had a one that done the best flat spin I've ever seen from a fair height.... ken Anderson...ne...1.... bullet/flat spin dept.
