To Strip or Not

Recommended Posts

About to commence a Cloud Models PB 'Bullet' build.

This has strip ailerons.

My impression, rightly or wrongly(?), is that 'tip/outboard' ailerons are more effective, giving crisper and more precise rolls. (Maybe it's just my poor flying!)

What thoughts, outboard ailerons, or full span strips as per original and the kit?

A supplementary, if I may.

If I fit outboard ailerons, thus allowing the inboard portion of the wing to be 'flapped', would it significantly weaken the foam veneered wing in cutting a thin slot for the servo leads? (I would probably infill with a balsa cap in any case).

Thanks in anticipation and for any hints 'n tips on the build, (for electric power), appreciated.
