David Ashby - Moderator
Well done Louis, I wish I could fly control line - I'm completely totally and utterly useless at it

David Ashby - Moderator
The only time I tried control line and after several attempts I managed half a circuit

Tim Mackey
My first ever model was a KK Ranger - as a young boy, building it from scratch and seeing her ready for her maiden flight all decked out in blue painted tissue and dope covering was a thrill I shall never forget. PAW diesel up the sharp end, off we set for the Orme, my Dad and I. "Here looks a good spot" says the old wise one, "what about those power lines dad " says the innocent youngster... "They are miles away grasshopper" says the wise one After twirling around for about a dozen laps, I find myself, unsurprisingly, very dizzy, and about 100 yards away from where I started. Thankfully, as the model sliced its way through the cables, the old wise one discovered that they were merely "telegraph" wires not HT - especially grateful also was I, as the control lines were steel, as was the handle ! The GPO as it was then, never did catch the culprit - who was of course the "responsible adult" oops off topic.

Tim Mackey
perhaps you should try control line with a float equipped model for the full effect
