Hi Kelvin, not thought about a blog before ( i think myself to be a complete numpty when it comes to computers) but thought i'd have a browse through the blog forum to see how its done and who's thread on the H9 P40 build do i find ...... . I went for the H9 P47D the day she went on sale - (talk about impulsive). I have had her for 2 years and build was very similar to your P40. she has been faultless and the only slight concern was the u/c legs flexing / tucking in when landing in cross winds. I initially made up thicker u/c legs which solved problem but had less shock absorbtion so i returned to standard legs and improved my landings . I am spoiled flying off ex military airfield which everone tells me is the best flying site in the country. Your scale exhaust looks cracking - how does it run ? I had an incowl silencer initially but the post flight cleaning ticked me off so i refitted standard silencer which does poke out a bit but i have never had to clean it since. (well just hanger dust and fly splats !). My SE5a still has incowl exhaust but as its a calm summers evening flyer (and when did anyone last see one of them ?) i don't fly it as regularly - but as its sssoooo pretty and relaxing i don't mind the cleaning. I can't get the photo on the post (over 250kb whatever they are!) so i have tried to attach a link to a pictures in photobucket .........i'll be gobsmacked if it works but nice for people to see if it does ! photo of my 'jug' below

Hi Rich

Great pics, I like the SE5a .

Thought about the H9 Fokker D7 as my next  model although I am tempted to have a go at the Tony Nijhuis  Hurricane.

To post pics from photobucket click on the  IMG Code - Forums & Bulletin Boards link and paste in your message.

Cheers

Kelvin
