Matt Watts
Hi everyone,I'm making an EDF Hydroplane for my GCSE project (yes, I know this is a flying website), and I was wondering about covering materials for balsa, card and depron. Since it is waterproof, is it even worth covering Depron? I suppose it does crease ridiculously easily. Also, does anyone know of any good sealant/fillers to be used to waterproof the access hatch? Matt Watts
With the depron, I was wondering if there was any way to toughen it up
winchweight
Depron is surprisingly tough, especially in smaller pieces. You could cover it with a self adhesive film, such as Solatrim. You might even get away with Poly C.
Matt Watts
poly...c? What is this?
Matt Watts
I just looked up Poly-c and i reckon the solartrim approach is probably the best. Any ideas on how to seal it up? Answers are still very much appreciated from anyone looking on this thread
