Tim Flyer Posted February 17, 2019 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Hi all . My NIMH battery on my trusty 14SG is now past its best and I’m wondering what to replace it with . I’m currently using a stop gap measure which is s Turnigy 2s LIFE battery I kept as an emergency spare in my box . The thiny is that I’m worried about unplugging the battery every week for balance charging as it might wear the transmitter connection plug . Should I just replace the old battery with another NIMH. It still seems there are no neat external plugs to fit to allow easy LIFE charging without unplugging. I have a Futaba 10j and use a Life battery in it, I use my charger set to life balance charge, and use the tx charging port, i remove the back and connect an 2 cell extension lead to the charger. no need to remove the battery. no need to balance every time, say every 3rd time. and it stays charged for ages , rest of time just use the charging port Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
