Robin Colbourne
Printing a plan from Outerzone, I used 'Poster Format' as the site recommended, so the A4 sheets could be joined easily. The annoying thing is that Adobe Reader automatically centred the plan to what it decided was the required number of sheets, complete with a large border. This resulted in each component, e.g. Wing, Fuselage, Tail, being printed across several sheets, whereas if I could have moved the centre of the image, both the top and bottom edges of each component could be on the same sheet. Is there a way of doing this pre-printing, rather than printing 'as is', taping all the sheets together and photocopying each part? Geoff S
Have you selected a centre image option on your printer? Geoff
Martyn K
Try downloading and using Foxit PDF Reader, Its a much better reader than Adobe and you can de-centre a tiled print to reduce the output. Martyn
GrahamC
In Adobe Acrobat Viewer... Select [EDIT] from the top menu Select [Take a Snapshot] Select the area of the drawing you would like to print with the mouse Select Print or via keyboard [Control P] And then obviously make sure its printing at 100% in poster mode. And Bob's your uncle..... Very handy for selecting small bits of the drawing to print on single bits of paper for templates etc. Also you will find that that you can get away with only printing parts of the plan. Steven S
+1 for GrahamC's method, that's how I do it also.
Robin Colbourne
Great! Thanks everyone, I'll give GrahamC's method a go, and if that doesn't work, I'll take Martyn K's advice download FoxIt. I'll be back with the results.
