Louis Benjamin
As the weathers been good the last few days i decided to test fly the E-flite deuces wild. Has any one else got one ?Its quite a large model...for me anyway. Wingspan 1570mm, the fuselage is 1580mm long. I was a little nervous but not for long, as this model is so easy to fly. I opted for the 25 motors as you can also use 32`s. I carn`t see why on earth you`d need 32`s in this as the two 25`s provide more than enough speed. You can perform just about any aerobatic maneuver. Flaps are fitted but you don`t need em at all. It slows up really well on approach and just floats in for landings. The sound of those props in flight are great. I`d recommend this model to anyone.setup i use:2 x E-flite 25bl motors2 x Hacker x-55 sb pro esc`s2 x kokam 4000mah 11.1 3sRobart air up/spring down retracts
Tim Mackey
Hi Louis - how about a few photos of the bird?
Louis Benjamin
HI TIMBO,I`ll try. My 9 year old was videoing it yesterday evening, but he seemed to get more footage of his feet than the plane.

Bruce Richards
That is a NICE! model. We seem to have really bad luck with twins at my club I have seen 2 Harmonys go in on or near to the maiden flight this year.
Louis Benjamin
thanks timbohi bruce, glad you mentioned that after i`d taken it up
Tim Mackey
Ah.... but were they electric or slime powered? One advantage of electric is the greater reliabilty of motors - so often a problem with twins...one cuts /stutters and bang - adverse yaw and loss of control. Bruce Richards
They were IC one had the ailerons reversed and crashed on take off, the other was flown too slow and it stalled on final turn in for landing. Such a shame because the one that had several flights sounded amazing with 2 Irvine .53s flat out.
Louis Benjamin
According to E-flite, it will fly on one motor. In fact, I read on "RC Universe" that a Deuces Wild lost a prop on take off (due to it not been tightened properly) and it was still able to climb out and fly straight. It does have a 10" tail fin..... possibly lessening any tendencies to yaw.
Louis Benjamin
Dont want to mislead anyone, update on my earlier post....I`ve used 2 Hacker X-70 SB PRO switching BEC ESC`s.
Bob Everitt
Hi Louis. Like you I was very taken by the Deuces Wild, well certainly the looks if not the name. Mine is in the to do pile and will not see air under the wings until the new year, however that will give me time to assemble the necessary hardware. Can I ask where you got the retracts and what they cost you as I find robart retracts expensive and difficult to find in the UK
Louis Benjamin
Hi Bob. Yeah...the names awful isn`t it. You will struggle to get hold of 12 x 8 E Pusher props. After a long search, i found you can order from http://www.micronradiocontrol.co.uk/.The retracts I ordered from America at http://www.hobbyzone.com/. they were around £101.00 + £20 import duty when you pick em up. Worth it though, wouldn`t be same without them. It says you need to purchase " quick disconnects" separately but you dont...there in the pack. I also fitted an air gauge which i found very handy. good luck
