John Lee
I’ve long been a fan of the FunCub as an all weather utility model. I built one from an early kit about 10 years ago & its had around 500 flights on land, water & snow. I’ve also got one of the bigger XL versions. My original is now looking decidedly tatty so with the release go the ‘Next Generation’ version it was timely to update. I can’t find them in the UK shops at the moment but an order to Lindinger in Austria had a kit on my bench within 6 days and the completed model on the field 4 days later. The kit is well up to Multiplex’s high standards, everything fitted perfectly, it was just like a big Airfix kit. And it flies - well, like a FunCub, but just that little bit better. The structure is much stiffer so it flies a bit more precisely but with the same inherent characteristics. The new undercarriage is a big improvement and flatters my landings, the old springy kangaroo arrivals are now a thing of the past. I’m really pleased with it.
