Barry Slater
Hi All, I,m halfway through the build of a Double Diamond Demon from the Ben Buckle kit and I am undecided on which covering to use. The model is a big one ,8' span 9.5 Sq/Ft. Any comments would be most welcome, thanks,Barry.
Jimbo565
BarryI think a vintage model like the Demon should be done in Solartex or traditionally with Nylon and dope.I have just started a Mercury 3 8' span vintage job and it will be covered in antique solartex.RegardsJim

Barry Slater
Thanks for the comments Gentlemen, I think Solartex vintage will do the job as it's translucent so I'll be able to see all that lovely structure as it flies overhead.Barry. Myron Beaumont
Just one point Barry -it's NOT cheap If you use 'er indoors's tights (and dope/ fuel proof the covering )you'll be able to see "that lovely structure" on both of your models one of which as you say will be flying overhead
