  1. I always used that white plumbers tape, PTFE if I remember correctly. Lay several layers across the exhaust opening then fit and tighten the muffler. On first start the tape blocking the exhaust port is blown away leaving a good seal.
  2. Hi all, I recently managed to total my Phase3 Fantom. All the electrics and power train survived O.K. and I've been looking around for a new airframe to put them in, but nobody seems to have one, soooo I'm thinking of getting a Roo to take the gear. Bearing in mind its an EDF set up can anyone give an opinion one way or t'other as to the suitability of this arrangement. Both airframes are very similar in size and weight so I can't see any problems but maybe you know better. Any ideas welcome guys,thanks.

  5. Thanks for the comments Gentlemen, I think Solartex vintage will do the job as it's translucent so I'll be able to see all that lovely structure as it flies overhead. Barry.
  6. Hi All, I,m halfway through the build of a Double Diamond Demon from the Ben Buckle kit and I am undecided on which covering to use. The model is a big one ,8' span 9.5 Sq/Ft. Any comments would be most welcome, thanks, Barry.

  9. Hi folks, I'm wanting to play around with a gyro on ailerons. There's no problem if the ailerons are operated via a single servo but how can I connect it where the ailerons are operated by two servos? Any advice appreciated, thanks, Barry.
