John T
Over the last couple of years I've become a convert to using tissue over Doculam laminating film for covering my models. The Doculam I have is 1.6 Mil (about 40 microns) thick, which is normally fine. However, I've just finished a lightweight model that really needed something thinner. I ended up using tissue over 10 micron Mylar, which finished up ok but as it had no adhesive backing seemed a lot more trouble to apply than laminating film. Does anyone know of a supplier of thin laminating film? I know Doculam used to manufacture some 0.6 Mil (15 micron) film but I can't find anyone stocking it.
