Martin Harris - Moderator Posted April 5, 2022 Share Posted April 5, 2022 Irvine 40s go back to the mid 70s when they used imperial sizes so we'd need to know which mark you have. If it's an early one and nobody has the info to hand I could whip the head off mine and check a screw for you. Jonathan W Posted April 5, 2022 Share Posted April 5, 2022 Which particular screws on the engine are you referring to? The cylinder head screws are 4-40 UNC x 1/2" long. The crankcase screws are 4-40 UNC x 3/8" long. The exhaust fixing screws are 6-32 UNC x 1/2" long.
