Pulse jet

I have just found this photo, taken at Plumpton. The pilot was a Dutch gentleman.

I clearly remember that nothing else was allowed to fly at the same time and the noise and speed was unbelievable.

I have some video somewhere of pulse jets at Plumpton. Some at the World Jet Masters at Wroughton too. I'll dig it out sometime and put it on youtube.

The control line Pulse jets were going at the 2014 Nats at RAF Barkson Heath. Now that I did enjoy.. Not as many pilots as in the past perhaps but a brilliant performance.

I mentioned Machrihanish Airbase in the past.... As it is not now an military base but a private site owned by the community only control line pulse jets can be used. Pretty much all other models can be flown, as before.

Another forum member that I almost met at the Nats! Assuming you were there on Sunday - I dropped in a few times to spectate at the C/L speed circle..
