Velie Monocoupe.

Recommended Posts

These days I find difficulty in starting from scratch so I have gone back to old subjects.  I have chosen to enlarge and electrify my Velie Monocoupe from my 1995 plan.

It now has a span of 48" for a small electric motor.  it  will b very light and quite a build BUT it will be pretty economical.

Fuselage basically built. Battery will sit almost vertically behind F-1

Battery hatch between undercarriage legs.  Wing held down with 4mm nylon bolts. Servo rails seen in front of rear former, battery platform with Velcro mount shown.DSCF5235.thumb.JPG.cc151059b32b39cfbca32c9f70dcac5a.JPG

Wing construction is simple but cutting out all those ribs is tedious specially when you ad the nose ribs

I love the Velie Monocoupe. Such a pretty little plane.

There's a guy in my club that built one with an open rocker OS. Everytime I see it I say to him "I hope you're looking after my plae" hahaha.

Maybe I'll get around to building one one day. I have a couple of small 4 strokes that are spare so I'd use one of those 😄
