john stones 1 - Moderator Posted July 25, 2023 Share Posted July 25, 2023 My experience tells me the 2 stroke garden tools belching smoke out, is from owners adding a bit more oil thinking "It's cheaper than metal" your tool will run poorly, pretty much all have a means to tune, there's no great mystery to it. I would agree that many make it seem so though. Walbro carbs I'm a fan off em, 4 stroke Stihl strimmer never misses a beat and sips fuel, going on 10 years old and just about ready for a carb kit.
