Simon Chaddock
A printed Venom Tip Tank The Venom had 'permanent' tip tanks. They could be dropped in an emergency but otherwise stayed on so my Depron bigger Venom under construction will need some. 250mm long and 36mm max diameter and printed in LW-PLA with a single wall it weighs 5.3 g. It is printed vertically in two parts each 125mm tall and glued together. As the complete tank is made up of two ellipses the overall size and shape is controlled by just two dimensions, length and radius. The wing mounting flat is an 'added' shape. It would be possible to engineer magnet fixings but for the Venom it will be a KISS job so each will be simply glued onto the wing tip. Simon Chaddock
Lets try again As stated printed in LW-PLA verically in two halves. The Swiss used the Venom far longer than the RAF or Navy. They even had a display team in spectacular colours. One was scarlet Red with white wings so it could retain their national markings. This what the tip tanks will look like.
