Ok thanks everyone, you learn something new every week with this hobby 😃

 

think I may have sorted it. Pinched Jon’s photo and I’ve cleaned up where I’ve ringed it in red. It wasn’t seating correctly in that recess, but now it’s cleaned and lubricated , it’s locking up nicely.

Yes if they are air up, spring down, but the main wheels on my mates 190 are air up and down and they lock in both positions, we use a Jettronics solenoid valves for operation and that has the option to isolate the pressure after operation (in case of leaks). We did that initially and it worked great on the mains, just a shame the tail wheel wasn't locking too 🤔, changed the operation so it keeps the pressure on and all is good now.

 

Glad you've got on top of the problem.
