Chris Theakstone
Back from the field, just had four flights with the mini showtime, it was dammed cold and quite a breeze too.Maybe tomorrow will be better ??Chris
Simon Chaddock
Tried again today. Cold, sunny and just a bit of wind. The FlyCam battery gave up again after only 3 minutes so I may have a problem there. The sun was very low, it kept dazzling the camera but I did manage a loop. With the FlyCam fixed directly onto the wing the mic picks up all the motor/prop noise. Note the seagulls! This is the video
David Ashby - Moderator
Nice video but 3 mins is good in the cold Simon, there have been threads here on the subject and it's well known that the little Li-Po in the Flycam suffers in the cold, assuming you're not using an external batt? Simon Chaddock
DavidYou could well be right. Yes it was cold (below freezing) and I was not using an external battery. On test today in a warm room I have just got over 10 mins of video and the battery was still on 66%!

Grant Darnley
Managed to get a few flights on Boxing Day, probably the best flying day of the year, crisp, calm and vis for miles around. Just wish there weren't so many obstructions at the site we were at( Dallachy is now a nightmare FTB)

flytilbroke
Can you believe today is a no fly day at our sites, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, we could have flown except for FOG. What is different today? A crackling, clear blue day.
Chris Theakstone
well what a superb day, took both the Mini Showtime and the Heli down the field, used all 4 lipo's on the Showtime and all 5 on the heli in flat calm conditions (even made my flying look reasonable). Only one other club member turned out.Got to work tomorow and new years day is a traditional full sized flying day so I have a couple of days to get all the lipo's re-filled.Chris
