Stephen Jones
With Indoor season now upon us I have decided to build a few new models to fly in the Gym. Not everyone's cup of tea I know but it is for me 😜 So a bigger flying flea it is I have done a lot in the past but this time its going to be bigger. Made from Depron foam and a small amount of wood. Most of the foam is 3mm thick I may of gone over the top with the wood I used in this build. I could of remove some of the ply from the mast, Now only if I had a Lazer cutter. Due to its size and shape I decided to make it possible to disassemble and store in a box. So the wings come off for easy transport. This is the rear wing and the two inner ribs have a locating hole in them into which I insert a cocktail stick. On the rear sides of the body I glued two Ply locating supports . A little bit of trimming of the wing is needed here. Radio Gear now fitted a Brushless geared motor and two 3.7g servos. Added a bit of color. And done. Their are more pictures in my album if you wish to see them. Steve.
Geoff S
Quite a contrast to the 1/2 scale one Ian Redshaw built a few winters ago but I doubt if Ian's would have fitted in many indoor venues 🙂 Looks a very interesting build. Have you flown it yet?

Stephen Jones
After much trouble with my Radio gear and Motor losing a gear I have managed to get this flying this weekend. So problem with my receiver solved by calibrating the settings in my External Tx. Replaced the Elevator/Pitch servo with a 5g servo and fitted a new Brushless motor. Although this motor is not ideal as it is a high speed battery guzzler but at least I have managed to proof fly it. Just need to find the best motor for this model.
