Just like to comment that a fluorescent light 'flickers' at 100Hz (2 x mains frequency) not 50Hz as stated in the Tacho Check letter. This is because the light strikes on both the positive and negative voltage peaks. So thats 6000 cycles per minute, which is the blade passing frequency of a 2 blade prop @ 3000 rpm. Possibly even less people know that...
