TonyM
I just purchased this really nice used Diablo Spitfire: 55 inch wingspan; Enya 60 4st Engine; 5 servos; Retracts + Servo; Autoglow Unit. I've been building and flying RC planes for a very long time, but I have never seen nor heard of this model before. Does anyone have any knowledge of the company which produced it? I can't find any reference to it at all, which is making me even more curious about its history, age, etc. Any info would be welcome. Thanks for reading, Tony
leccyflyer
Looks like it could be a DeAgostini Spitfire to me, with the wide track undercarriage and slab sides. The similarity between Diablo and DiAgostini could be a common factor too. The only thing that doesn't look the same is the intake at the front of the cowling. There's a thread on the forum. Simon Chaddock
The Deagostini looks favourite. I could find no Diablo manufacturer only quite a big turbine jet kit called Diablo by CARF models that are manufactured in Thailand with distributers worlwide.. I would guess the unusual nose intake is somebodies way of hiding the exposed cylinder head on the Deagostini.
