Les Turrall 2
Can anyone advise me where I can buy a puller to remove the prop driver on a variety of IC engines? Failing that, can anyone advise me how these things can be removed other than by the application of heat and gentle persuasion with a hammer!! thanks in anticipation. Tim Mackey
Les - your local market tool supplier guy should have one - I picked one up from my guy for a pound - not great quality of course, but does the job you need doing. Or heres one on fleabay that should be OK too
Les Turrall 2
Very many thanks Timbo. One fleabay puller should be on it's way to me shortly. Kind Regards. Les Turrall

Braddock, VC
Machine Mart do a battery terminal puller that does the job, I've tested it on my 125 saito and an old ED hornet of 1.5 cc and for £8 or so it's well worth it. Other uses that it's been put to include, unsurprisingly, pulling terminals off batteries, and props that are on too tight too.
Gaz Elliott
Would this remove the prop driver and collet from motors then. i have looked at it online but looks a bit small. May be just my mind playing tricks. Cheers Gaz
i12fly
I couldn't find a puller when I wanted one, so..... I took a large washer which had an inner diameter very close to the groove in the prop driver. I then cut the washer in half and placed it in the groove. The engine was then placed in a loosened vice so that each jaw supported the cut part of each washer half, engine pointing down, shaft up. Placed the nut on the threads, about 2 turns to protect them. I made doubly sure the engine was free from the jaws, placed 1 hand under the engine to catch it and gave the end of the shaft a small rap with a wooden mallet. It works a treat on my Irvine 46, and cost was nothing.
