Skeeter
I am almost finished in the "build" of my Arising Star in order to get back into the air. Thing is, it comes with those pushrod connectors with the screw in the top. They are easy to adjust and fettle but.....are they any good and would it be better to junk them and replace them with "proper" clevises? AND should I junk the fuel tank for a more established brand? Thanks in advance Nige
andy watson
The arising star is a very common trainer, and I don't think I have ever heard of anyone needing to replace bits- well not until they have crashed it of course!
Kelly
I now use a bit of thread lock on the bottom nut and to secure the grub screw once I am happy with the position of the pushrod I have on past models used cyano to secure the bottom nut and the grub screw. You have to be careful not to glue/thread lock the rotating part of the connector. I have had no problems with them, but like everything else in this hobby some people will have a different opinion . Fuel tank the same, had no problems with them.
Phil May
I've had mine 18 months and used all suplied parts with no problems at all. As with Kelvin I used thread lock on the conectors. Happy flying

Skeeter
Many thanks to all. Points about the threadlock taken. I must say that this is my first ARTF, and I am quite impressed with the quality. I was a bit dubious, having heard (and read) some horror stories.
