Futaba transmitters have the throttle channel (3) working in the opposite direction to the way most, if not all, ESCs expect. This means that any safety sequence may not be satisfied. Very long shot but perhaps your ESC disables all BEC output until it's sensed that the throttle is closed? Try switching on with the throttle fully open to check this (obviously without a prop fitted). ...and just in case you aren't aware, if you don't have the motor fitted, you won't get any beeps 'cos the motor windings are the "speaker" - not everyone appreciates that.
