  1. My Blaze broke earlier this year. I must have had something like 100 or more flights. My model would veer to the left in a steep fast dive and I would have to decrease the dive to regain control. She finally gave me the 2 fingers after I dived her from about 1000 feet and although I gave a gentle, or so I thought, up elevator, there was no response and she ploughed into the ground at about 70/80 mph. The ground was very muddy so I was able to dig out the front of the fuz which was about 9 inches down. The wings were still in one piece, so I would suggest that the wing tube was more that adequate for this model. One other noticeable thing was after about every 10 to 15 flights I would have to slacken the 4 wing screws and push the 2 halves of the wing together again and retighten. The Blaze was one the best value for money models and great fun to fly. My wife has bought me the Hobby King Durafly Dynamic-S for Christmas and so I am looking forward to flying, what is really the Blaze with different stickers.
  2. Hi all I am having a major problem with trying to contact anyone from Hobby King UK. Without going into great detail, I bought a Durafly v-tail glider with subsequent problems and have tried live chat and emailing hobbyking.com, both seem not understand what I am saying as they are in HK not in UK. As I bought this glider from UK, do not consumer rights for this country apply? Can anyone help please with any ideas or if someone from Hobby King could be persuaded to talk to me. Many thanks.
  3. Hi Steve and Bob Many thanks for the advice chaps and I have no problem with being taught to suck eggs. I have read the RCUniverse post a little while ago. I think I need to establish exactly what pipe I have. It is just a mat black tuned pipe with no marks on it. I think the best way for me to go is to simply, get it running and lean it a bit more than I have so far. I will put some grease on the manifold pipe and thus I should be able to slide tuned pipe back and forth, along the silicone tubing. This proceedure will require a club mate to assist me with the tacho readings and throttle. If I have to cut off a bit of manifold and decide It needs to be put back then I can put it into the silicon tubing first. Hopefuly I will get this sorted and be flying this by the spring. The word I was looking for in reference to the clear plastic in my first post was 'diaphragm'. Thanks once again to you both. Dave
  4. I aquired a pattern ship a couple of years ago and am only just getting it ready for next year. It has a new, when I got it, OS Max 61 RF ABC pumped engine. I have started it about 6 times, but am having a bit of a problem with engine surging once it gets warmed up and I try to run it flat out, although I try to keep it on the rich side. I have very carefuly taken the pump appart and checked for dirt and perished reeds. Not sure what you call the clear bits of plastic. Does anyone know where an exploded picture of the Perry Pump could be found. I have tried Perry Pumps themselves and the, no longer made OS engines site for spares. Secondly does anyone know what the length of the exhaust pipe should be, as I have not cut this yet. Thanks.
  5. Hi All Anyone know where a good slope suit could be bought now? Looked at various suggetions from last winter, but no bargains available as yet for this season. The first post looked ideal, but cannot find it anywhere. Thanks.
  6. Have I got the wrong Forum? F1 is on its own site. £60 million!!!!! Am I jealous or what.
  7. Been looking forward to The Model show at Paddock Wood and today looking at the site for tickets, find that it has been cancelled. What a case of incompetence and greedy site owners. Can't find any more words for this situation without upsetting the moderator. Edited By David Ashby - RCME on 04/09/2012 17:32:53
  8. I was wondering where the sun went. Then it dawned on me.
  9. Well I think there should of been more thought in the design for fitting the battery. Surley after the debarkle of the early Wot4 Foamie, Ripmax should have made more effort for the Acro Wot. I for one will not be buying one. Must admit I have a Wot4 Foamie and it is the best value model and fun for the price. Mine still has the origonal setup and has flown at least 130 times. Just got the Eflight Carbon-Z Yak 54. Cor now that is an experience to fly. Brilliant. Edited By Dave G on 08/07/2012 21:24:03
  10. Yes it was a very good day out. I must say I think it must of been the best weather ever for this show. My personal favourite was the father & son Red arrows team. Amasing precision and a nice family. Me and my friends were flabaguasted at some of the junk that people were selling at the bring & buy. My respects go also to the very good organising team who made the day go without a hitch. Nice One

  12. Do you mean the St Models MX2 ? If so then I found that 10 grams up front was OK for the first flight and for good 3D then remove it.
