  5. hello magicstick--the cleaning will be down to elbow grease plus what you fancy---the exhaust can be fitted on using a split jubilee clip that go'es around the cylnder head and is secured to the exhaust/silencer by drilling two small hole's in it and using a couple of self tapper's(this was a common way of doing it in the dark distant day's)................i'm to young to remember/ really............                    ken anderson..................
  6. mfin--can't you take one servo out and mount it with the horn/arm near the front--will that not cure your prob?                   ken anderson...............
  7. hello tom-if the tubes are brass-the long one will be the one the clunk tube fasten's onto-the other's fill and pressure normally both get bend's put in to finish off just below the top of your tank-use ordinary fuel tube(no prob's)come's in various colour's as well--take your time with the brass tube when bending.................         ken oily hand anderson...........

  10. hello mfin---depend's what radio gear your using ----- i use futaba and ---normally i would plug in channel 2 and 6----2 will work one servo ok and 6 will normally have to be reversed to work the correct way---up..down..............then it's a case of end point adjusting each servo so they both move the correct amount--also in futaba set's set's you have mix's avalable to use for such a set up---never had/needed to use a servo reverser---i don't know if this is comming over ok--sound's more complicated than it is-other radio set's will be similar.....................      ken anderson....................switch off the s/iron         p.s.----trying setting off a timbo alert----he'll probably tell you what i've posted is a load of how's your father stuff--but it's not far from the mark...........

  12. andy - thank's for the lead i didn't get off you at the field                              ken anderson............
  13. timbo-just had a look at the g.c. site/ubec's--it's amazing to think how someone can assemble the ubec pack it off to this side of the world and retail it for the price it is and still make a crust(or sticky bun)--watching a program on the tv a couple of week's ago-saying that the factory that put's together the i pod's was also making other brand's of the same gear-in different case's at the same factory---also they stated that there are only two manufacturer's of lcd tv screen's-they make/sell them to other firm's who make case's for them and stick their badge's on them..................                           ken anderson.....................
  14. hello david-range test your radio and check the servo's-could be one of them has decided it want's to retire---if it was flying ok previous and you haven't altered anything sound's like servo has developed a mind of it's own or receiver has a fault--try swopping for different stuff-process of elimanation.................               ken anderson..............
  15. no chance andy-domestic duties-good day today at the field-hurry up and get retired....................                ken anderson..................
  16. hello garry-i've been flying electric model's for a while now--usually your can tell when your battery has had enough-as the performance start's to tail(pun) off slightly...                                ken anderson...............
  17. woa stephen you've picked me up wrong--a pilot's a pilot as far as i'm concerned--just there seem's to be some who think their lad's are better---as far as i'm concerned your's take first prize. so please re-write your last post asaplol.......................                         ken anderson...................................
  18. i'll probably get thrown out of the forum after this posting----totally useless info--but did you know that the monkey who played the part of cheetah in the old tarzan film's---the one's with johnny wiesmuller and maureen o'sullivan--i think that was the lasses name was--is still alive and aprox 80 year's old!!!!===you read it here first..................         ken anderson...............
  19. hello craig---i'll add my six pence worth-----i don't bother with the gasket either--what i use is clear silicone/the type used to construct fish tank's etc---make sure every thing is clean and dry and apply to the engine and bolt on your silencer--i also put a blob of it over the nut's so they can't undo them'selves--balance your prop--make sure the exhaust is well supported and bingo-no more loose silencer's---i've seen people spend a long time looking for them in the grass at our field.....                                      ken anderson......................          ps--the silicone is easy to get off when you want to remove your silencer.....
  20. just back in from a trip to our field-with a model that i thought was ready for the trip to val halla---bright sunshine-load's of thermal's--light wind's-yabba dabba doo----on the landing approach/final turn------to slow -- into a spin/crash bang wallop-model stuck up the top of tree!!!---finally got it down after a climb and hurray/no damage/lives to soar another day...                                        ken anderson.....................

  23. hello johnathan--i suggest you get in touch with a lad called paul heckel's--or hopefully someone will have a vid of him flying a completely unmodified wot 4 with a enya 45 ss 2st engine up front-the first time i saw him flying was circa 91---i and other's who thought we had it cracked-we're thinking along the line's of throwing away our transmitter'e etc...........in fact i can't understand why chriss foss doesn't market the model as an ideal heli trainer!!!!!!....................i lie to you not sir............we seen it with our own eyes....................3d model/heli that was light year's ahead of the so called 3d stuff---god bless-paul/chris................................                     ken anderson............   ps--the wot flight was aprox 20 min's-never any higher than 1-2ft off terra ferma.....
  24. hello big phil--when i look back to my first take off/landings it was to say the least hair raising--the thing is when we're learning-it's hard to get it all in the right order--smoothly and correctly-i would hate to be sitting in a full size plane then if i was the pilot---once you start and settle down with your nerve's you'll get over the too much elevator movement-jumping in the air to early bit---when i first thought i had it cracked i took my son with the camcorder to record my take off for to show my wife-----started off the take off run-got about two foot off the ground and put in down elevator...................... when you have got it cracked don't forget to pass on your experience to the next lad...                      ken anderson..............
  25. go-on peter--the enthusiasm of youth----put some in a bottle and sell it............                               ken anderson.................
