  1. Hi Richard, handily, the default photo preview on my desktop will re-size photos too, so I use that. Does your phone have some photo editing options perhaps?
  2. Yes, noticed that, the price rose yesterday, just after I bought mine for sub-100. The cowl doesn’t bother me, it won’t get the abuse an I.c. engine would inflict, and I’ve a few spare rolls of film that ought to fly before they delaminate. ?
  3. Following with interest Tony, particularly as I've just bought one. I'll be leccy though.
  4. My flying pal, Mike, maidened his little Bristol M1 yesterday. Built from the Peter Rake plan/parts from Belair. Flew great. Detail and pilot to follow now he knows it's a good 'un.
  5. (Covid restrictions permitting) at Weeley Village Hall, Clacton Road, Weeley, Clacton on Sea, Essex, CO16 9DH. Open at 9am but sellers can gain access from 8:15am for set up. Tables £4, entrance £1 per person. To book a table please contact Malcolm Booth on 01255 319745, 07773 198854 or email [email protected]
  6. Gave the Sinbad its first slope flight yesterday, sans prop. Although our flat field was turbulent on the weekend, it seemed to fly better from the hill. All good.
  7. Yep, no great surprise I guess, but not the news we wanted to hear.
  8. Unfortunately it's a 'no'. https://bmfa.org/News/News-Page/ArticleID/2735/BMFA-Nationals-2021-A-notice-from-the-BMFA-Chairman
  9. Signposted from Aldsworth Gloucestershire on the B4425 between Cirencester/Burford and off the A40 between Northleach and Burford (follow the SAM 35 signs). All types of R/C up to 1969. Sport flying, no competitions. BMFA insurance essential. Contact Tony Tomlin on 0208 641 3505, 07767 394578 or email [email protected].
  10. Yes indeed DD, it was surprisingly good to use. Mind you, anything else would have bankrupted me ?
  11. Lockdown 3's big project has finally flown, my 98" span Sinbad. It was a bit turbulent to assess fully, but it flew much like a vintage type ie. needing plenty of rudder. A visit to the slope is next.
  12. I'll ask the owner Martin ? We hit the coast yesterday to take advantage of the NE wind. Bracing stuff but super smooth lift.
  13. Just back from the patch, and a little pink. Flew the Allusive, Arrows Viper and Mini Bolero. First fly this year for many club mates, some since last autumn. Everyone took their models home in one piece.
  14. Thought I'd start a new thread as this one started in 2019.
  15. Lovely weather, what has everyone been up to? Reports and pics please people ??
