  1. i use a123 the yellow 18650s from 2011 in that time had 3 / 10 gone bad now using hk zippy cheaper for a made up pack than i was paying for one cell as with all batteries they dont last forever but if your going to use 2 packs in one plane connected together one goes bad can drag them all down i have had more lipos fail than A123 in that time
  2. alloy wheel cleaner spray works good as well bbq and alloy and oven cleaner are all the same sort of thing just dont breath it in good but nasty
  3. have you cut thro cut off on a switch ? is it switched on or is the thro cut off on button is it stuck in check thro end points
  4. in mine i put a emax 2826 300 watts on 11x7 on 3cell
  5. make one from a bit of bar mind you its a bugger to hold at times but been there lost it and with a os52fs so must be one of those things all os52fs owners have to learn
  6. to answer your question about changing to 2.4 no its not hard you take out the 35 meg rx and replace it with a 2.4 but make sure your pluging right servo lead into right plug they not all follow futaba and of coarse you will need the same brand of tx 2.4 is not like 35 any make works there many brands to pick from spektrum and futaba is very common is most shops there are orange and lemon that make rx that works with other but make sure it say its for your tx but look and fix your problem

  8. the orange rx is same sort of range as a AR6110 which is a park fly rx which at our field is 400m if that if the rx failsafe wasnt tested then how do you now it was set the orange 6ch is a great rx when used great its a shame it crashed on a test flight you done for someone else and its so easy for us all to jump in and say this should of been done but when your stood there with a mate its hard to go and check everything its makes them look silly it really puts people off test flying someone model
  9. i use in line deans connector on my electrics for sometime now and have used it on ic battery on one plane for some time plug in the male deans with connected straight across poles and planes live take plug out no power
  10. just change it to the one on your battery have one standard connector
  11. dose the motor have a( cant remember the name) small thing wire between both poles on the motor ? was a full range test done (not on reduce power button range test) is it carbon or metalic covered fuse that cut signal down
  12. i had my DX6i since they first came out and still going strong i replaced the engine cut button with a switch so with eletric i got a saftey switch and put a life 2 cell inside and put wires for charging and balance in battery compartment broken the antenna which is easy to get and replace ok only got 10 models but who takes more than 10 models with them is just showing off
  13. timer beeps every minute if you dont want it then dont set a timer when changing a setting it beeps and on trim which cant be turned off mind you if you cut it out prob wouldnt hurt battery i put 2 cell life in back the put charge and balance lead in battery compartment 6.8 volts but you do need to keep eye on it as if you leave it battery alarm then you got a bad battery and sudden drop in voltage
  14. tee will flood carb only if carbs open fully closed carb should not flood on 2 line tank i have used tee on both lines if its on a tank with 3 pipes going into tank and you can turn one down to floor of tank use that as fill and tee off or if you can get at it presure feed remember the more joints the more likly air is going to get in most of mine dont have cowels
  15. after sorting your spinner out solder the extension to the needle
  16. try adding one lead at a time and check it on all 3 wires so at least you will get to know which lead combination not working
  17. so mite be better to fit a os la blue 46 i got but not sure if that dose have more power than the 25 fx as herd la are crap ?
  18. you need a ubec to cut voltage down to rx voltage around 5volts better to use life also known as A123 battery as a 2 cell is 6.6 volts and you use them without any ubec or if you on electric motors check see if your esc got bec built in or connect up a ubec to same lipo
  19. you say a glider does it have carbon body they cut signal down and metalic covering and agree with Pete B need a bit of distance between rx and tx when binding
  20. got on ebay with engine in it total weight 1.75kg is the os 25 fx big enough i dont want to set any speed records just steady circuits
  21. there 2 part epoxy good as well and they do a very nice shinny covering but watch you rx its does mask the signal
  22. i would do same as pete B start 10 and 30 you can all ways increase it
  23. hh lifes are good or get singles and make up your own packs how long you thinking of flying for ? and do you really need a power box on a 60 size ? 1 life will do all day
