I have had sevral lock outs on my taranis plus since doing all the latest updates.lost 3 models (
  4. **LINK** they had to do the same updates to some of their radios too. firmware updates are good thing in my opinion if it means glitches can be fixed and improvements made or in this case keep the hardware compliant with new regs.
  5. **LINK** not instock but gives part numbers so hopfully some where like **LINK** will help you out .it is possible to get a all metal part from them to. The brass part of the old one needs a twist with pliers /grips and a dab of epoxy on the new one as it pressed in job done.not sure how i got this knowledge
  6. I really think 15cc is the way to go as the katana is a 3d model and having power in reserve is what you want. The meriden is only a sport flyer and as such only needs the power of the 10cc. hangar 9 recommendation of .46-55 glow 2stroke has been tried and tested by many on rc groups and all reported having to add nose weight and being underpowered and they changed to .60 even .90 size glows thats why i used the dle 20 which is loads of power.my clubmates katana flys well on the 15cc but would struggle with less power.
  7. Hi Allan, Ive got a katana and ive put a dle 20cc in it , i had to cut out the firewall a fair bit but it fits and is a bit overpowered but i didnt need to add any lead to balance. The katana builds a bit tail heavy ,so nose weight is good.the plane still flys very light and 3ds well with very good pullout. I also own a evo 10cc and have it in a wot 4 that weights 5.5lbs only just pulls out of the prophang but loads of power for sport flying. It would fly the kantana but not to its full potential. A clubmate of mine has the evo 15 in his katana and that works well and would be a good option. The katana is a fantastic flying model by the way . Edited By Austenrover on 28/01/2014 16:01:49

  9. Forgot to say no plane should be moving while its idling.does not make landing fun in my expeirence
  10. You need to lean the bottom end to get a lower idle, you will find leaning it increases tickover rpm you then lower your thottle end points or thotle trim if you like.a idle of 1850 should be good with 10 litres of bench time.A 19x8 prop would also help tickover and is considered to be a good mach for the engine and aerobactic models
