  1. I fly mode 2, learnt and fly in the south of the north west. Self taught.
  2. overall, my experience with al's hobbies is more than positive. Al himself, Clive and a few others are very helpful and have sorted out any problems i've had although there are a few who work at al's hobbies and they couldn't care less.
  3. it closes the sim when i try to join
  4. i've created a room, password is password
  5. sorry, only just noticed it, i can make it at 2
  6. no, i don't get to the field as much as i like but the weather is making it very hard. i've got an adrenaline 90 andi use that a lot on the sim too. we don't currently have a club examiner as we are a rather small club
  7. hi adam, yes i'm using 2.5n. when are you able to help me? it's still the summer holidays so any time is good for methanks again
  8. Hi, looking for someone to help me a bit with getting my B Test sorted. I'm no-where near getting it but i'd just like to know how to do it and what will make my chances of success greater. the room will be on and off daily, whenever i'm on, it will be called Fixed Wing B Test. or just post a comment below, letting me know when you can help and i'll go on and open the room. password will be... ' password '! , all lower case thanks - james
  9. it's very easy to do in real life, it also depends on the examinier you get.. some ask for precision flying, others just ask that you get it back on the ground safely.
  10. RC Modelcenter got them for £45 but out of stock click Here
  11. I got one, bought dirt cheap chinese servos, 32 SC two stroke, dry battery pack , decent spektrum Rx, all cost £122. Not as fun as most of my models but it was dead cheap and I'm happy with it =]
  12. could have been an in-store discount. just had a run around edinbourgh between our two trains for going on holiday and maplins looked like the most interesting store there! went inside and saw it for £4.99 and there were hundereds of them! good bit of fun for holiday as i didn't manage to fit any of my quater scale aircraft into my rucksack =[ it was definitly a silverlit one.
  13. don't think 26cc petrol is enough for a 2 meter pattern flyer, more ideal for a 6 foot plane but you'd need to keep it light. If you can fit it in the cowl of something around the 1.6 meter mark, you would get very good performance. The capiche would fly with it if you kept it very light but you'd find it a bit slugish.
