I have one or should I say HAD one.... in the repair shop. Brain froze at the wrong time.   Very nice plane to fly, handles superbly in the wind. The only thing i would say is mybe get some decal on the bottom off the plane as it is pure white and can be hard to see in distance.   My set up-   MOTOR Eflite power32E ESC CC ice 75amp BAT 4cell 3900's SERVO Hitec HS225MG all round

I agree with Allan thanks for the link to the to The Battery University, Tim.   also Allan definitely not put off just so much to learn in this hobby.

I understand that 1C charge is good for them. But what about when you cycle them what would be a good value for discharge and also voltage setting.   Alan

just wondering what would be a good discharge setting for this battery and also cut off voltage.   also how often would you cycle your battery.   Alan

Found a BEC on ebay   TURNIGY 3A UBEC with Noise Reduction   was wondering if this would be good enough to run 4 analog servos.   Alan

What would you class as a good BEC so many different types and makes not sure what to go for.

  But the spec say 5amp capabiltiy I thought that would be plenty for 4servos.

Got my ESC today was sent the LITE ICE 75amp instead this should still be OK, the only thing I noticed was the manual stated that if you are uing over 3cell lipo's you should use a separate BEC but also say's that the max current capabilty of the BEC is 5amp.   PDF for all CC ESC   Should this still be OK or should i put in a seperate BEC.   Thanks Alan

What would be considered a good make BEC.    

Then would the BEC in the CC Phoenix ICE 75amp ESC be sufficient enough without a seperate BEC.   Sorry for so many Q,s still very new to Electric setupsEdited By Alan on 27/02/2011 11:15:52

I thought the separate battery would be a better procaution to power my servos.

I am considering getting a Eflite Extra 32E   Like this...   My set-up is going to be   --Eflite power 32E motor --Hitec HS225MG servos all round --CC Phoenix ICE 75amp ESC --3800mAH 4s Lipo   Was also thinking about putting in a seperat RX Battery 1600mAH 2s 7.4v what size of UBEC would i need for this. Got new radio today, tried battery in my Fusion battery checker completely dead, put it on charg at 1C(1.7amps) it charged for 7mins and took about 200Mamps. Used radio it started beeping for low battery after 20mins put battery back in charger and it took the same length of time again 20mins about 200Mamps.   Am i doing something wrong or is the battery nackered or even my charger, charger works fine on LiPo's andNiCd

How long does it take to charge at 1C.   Alan

Hi All i have just purched a new radio (futaba 8fg) but it has no wall charger and my old one is no good.   But i have a sigmaEQ charger and was wondering what would be the best setting to charger the battery 1700Mah NiMh.   Alan

hi Colin   I have been looking to get this  plane for a while from YT international apart from your recent problem with it. What do you think of the palne and what engine did you put in it and did you have any problems with the build.    Alan

Hi new into electriic flight and was wondering what would be the best device for reading lipo voltages after a flight to see what capacity i have left in each cell. I have had a look around and seen the (Etronix Battery Doctor) http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/cml_product.php?productId=0000003637   Does anybody have this model and what is it like or is there a more popular one everboby uses.   Thanks Alan    

Had a look at this plane on the Ripmax web site looks very nice. http://www.ripmax.com/item.asp?itemid=A-BH060&Category=010   But cannot find any info on the Web about it, has anybody had any experience with this plane.   Alan
