Hi Guys Thank's for your responses most appreciated. Reading through the possible culprits I suspect that the Watt Meter (A new Toolkit RC item) may be at fault, I have another new one to try. I also have a new complete fan unit from Turbines-RC which I haven't run yet. I shall go through all the possibles listed in your replies and hopefully will get to the root cause. Nobodies mentioned cheater holes, how do you know when they're needed? Steve B

I'm having a problem with a 90mm EDF unit mounted in a Jepe Foamy F-18 I'm hoping somebody may be able to help please. I'm running an E-Jets fan with a Typhoon 700-60-2085KV motor on a good quality 6S LiPo. The combination should be drawing in the region of 100 Amps but I'm only measuring approx 50 Amps at best. Also, the WattMeter reading is fluctuating quite wildly. I've changed the old motor to the new one above with no difference. I've tried two YEP 100A ESCs and now a 150A Yep ESC with the same results. I've thought about cutting some cheater holes for air but not convinced that's the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks Steve B

I've just this moment purchased an ESC from HobbyKing. Postage from Uk to Northern Ireland was £20.66 Tracked, I ordered from the EU site postage was £6.32 Tracked. I can't understand the UK postage rates, this is not the first time the UK site has quoted me ridiculous postage rates. I can't justify shopping with the UK site anymore, I suppose they will moan when they get shut down because nobody is using them.

Thanks, Chris you're a star I've been working on this problem all day with no success. Worked for me My suspicion is this occurred after some recent Win10 Updates. As part of my diagnosis, I loaded Opera browser which worked with no changes made. Steve B

I don't know if it's just my PC but the magazine has never displayed correctly for me in Google Chrome. A page will initially load correctly for half a second then cuts the bottom third of the page off. I have to use the new Edge browser to display the magazine properly at 100% scale.

I have a Radiomaster T16S great radio at a good price. An added bonus of a multi-protocol RF unit which will bind to most receivers. Steve B

What ESC for damped starting and stopping?
Steve Balaam replied to David Hall 9's topic in ESCs (Speed Controllers)
FRSKY Neuron ESC's are reasonably priced and can be programmed whatever way you want via BL-Heli -
Unable to understand OTX configuration for landing gear

I have electric retracts on an Arrows Bearcat which are working OK On the Inputs page I7 I have a Source of Switch SA (UP) Weight=100 On the Mixer page I have Channel 7 Source set to SA (UP) and Weight= -100 These settings give me an Up/Down retract as required. -
It seems fairly easy to change modes. **LINK**

A quick update from my earlier posting, I have now flown my TX16S for the first time. Range check was good and flew with no problem whatsoever RSSI telemetry remained strong throughout flight. Minor niggles would be screen not as readable outside compared to my FRSKY X10S and I could do with stronger gimble springs. But other than that I'm very happy with the radio.

Is this Power Supply Suitable?
Steve Balaam replied to David Davis's topic in General Electric Flight Chat
I can attest to the dangers of unattended LiPo charging. A friend of mine who is sadly no longer with us was giving a Lipo that was still in the airplane a top up charge before flying. He was distracted by a telephone call when he returned to the garage the whole place was an inferno. He lost the house and everything in it. As far as I'm aware the rebuild and contents were covered by insurance. It couldn't be established what the exact cause but in all probability it had to be the battery, charger or PSU. -

You could maybe invest in a pre-built PSU from **LINK**
