This afternoon i decided to get my record breaker out of moth balls, she's powered by an old 61 merco ,BUT i hasten to add it's been rebuilt and runs very sweet indeed ,Now the question does she take a long reach plug or a short reach ?I rather tend to think a long reach would do the trick ,I had her running up this after but every time i took the glo start off she stopped ,it's got a shot reach in at the mo so what do you recon ? cheers TD Edited By David Ashby - RCME Administrator on 24/04/2011 15:36:05

It's a funny thing really , I was at the patch on sunday rummaging through some old copies and came across the bloody Mary ,I have to say it grabbed me straight away what a stunning model !As vintage models are my mane thing i have to build one ,But reading some posts on here just realised there is a second plan i'm hoping it will be in the pile at the patch other wise i will have to beg it from some were, I'm going to sit and have a read upon it ,I'm getting quite excited about it now i have decided to build it . Cofee and a wod please ! just ordered some depron to start my build of the BV 215 ,I have to say ,The last 2 free plans have been ( To me ) exeptional,I've nearly finished my Pix-e major then i will get on with theB&V 215 ,can't wait to see what that one flys like , Blimmy it feels like xmas again . Does any one know if there are any vids around for the pix-e major in flight ? TD

That bit about Farnborough brought back some memories ,I did'nt make the forties but fifties well! used to go every year on my own i was about 11 or 12 yrs and it was only a £1 to get in ,If my memory serves me well i saw the prototypes of the V Bombers ie: Vulcan,Victor ,Valiant, .Also the P1 English Electric Lightening ,and of course the Black Arrows of 111 squadron ,and on and on .They were the days definitely . Went in to the local cheapy pound shop bought a 5 pack of SUPER GLUE for a £1, Guess what?3 out of the4 were EMPTY ,Not so cheap then .
