  1. Thanks for the tips. I will contact the club Nigel mentioned. Thanks.
  2. Hi All, I looked for a suitable thread to post this. I hope this one is OK. I recently moved to Cheltenham from abroad. I have a question. Do I have to fly in a club. Can I use suitable public places to fly. I would like to fly 10 size foam or balsa electric planes. Tunca
  3. Amazon had sent a mail saying that i should solve the problem with online chat. I then clicked the link they have provided but i had to explain the problem. I thpught they would knpw it because og the link. The guy transfered me to some other guy who transfered me to another and another. I chatted with Almost 10 people all thought a superior guy can help. The last guy after writing his first sentence about how happy he will be about helping me and his next line is that he cannot help me because of a technical problem. Crazy. I will restart in the weekend.
  4. The link is working the amazon page opens but it says there is no match. I had sent this problem to amazon. I hope they will say somethin within 12 hours.
  5. I am sorry keeping you busy with my own issue. In amazon.co.uk because i am not in the UK. It says i should buy it in amazon.com. but in amazon.com the book does not appear. I better ask amazon.com.
  6. Good morning. Thank you for the link. I tried the link. it says "we cannot find any matches for your search" I tried to buy another kindle book to see if i can infact buy books it works. I guess your book is published in some countries. Maybe your deal with Amazon is like this.
  7. Hi Malcolm thank you for the effort. Amazon.com does not have your book i guess. It does not appear in searches. Funny thing is i tried to buy the transmitter itself. It is possible i kept going until my credit card information. Thanks again for your help.
  8. This title is only available to UK customers only This is what it says. I am in Turkey.
  9. I can go the field very rarely the kids, the wife, the weather, equipment, after weeks of AOG, finally I am ready to go. Fiddle with the fuselage to fit in the car. Carry One field box, tx case, one toolbox, chair, water to the car. Lots of sweat! Half an hour drive to the field. Unpack everything build the plane fill the tank. Finally I am airborne. Fly try different maneuvers. 6 minutes later the transmitter signals and I land. Feeling very good I sat down and smoked(I was smoking back then) I thought to myself it is not surprising mostly if not only men are involved in the hobby. For five minutes of happiness you struggle 5 weeks.
  10. I don't understand. The book is only available in the UK. This is an e-book it should be available anywhere.
  11. Your post really comforted me. Thank you
  12. There's another think occupies my mind. I am installing the 10cc engine to 46 size plane. The 10cc evo is converted from a 60 size engine. So it is like installing a 60 size engine+ignition module+ignition battery+heavy cables. Is it an overkill.
  13. I'll use a heavier clunk. It is not filtered but there is filter on the way.
  14. Don't know why the photo is upside down.

  17. So you didn't use the supplied clunk. Since 10cc needs a smaller tank and the smaller tank needs a shorter pickup tube with the not so heavy clunk the result is not good. I guess I need to replace the clunk. I'll post a picture too.
  18. I bought the evo10cc and now I am trying to install it to a seagull texan (harward). Today I worked a little on the fuel tank. I used the supplied viton tubing and the clunk. But the clunk is not heavy as it should be because it stays in the air. The tubing is so stiff. I tried with tygon tubing too it is better but still very stiff how did you do the tank installation
  19. Hi there; I will be using the sbus and high voltage system and telemetry for the first time. I am going to use an evolution 10cc in a seagull texan. I Wanted to combine HV and telemetry because I will be flying with a single battery for the servos, ignition and the rx and be able to monitor the battery voltage. But the retract servo I want to use is 5V servo. Have you guys ever used regular servos in a HV system. I can build a small regulator to power the retract. But then the signal would be a little high. Alternatively I may use an sbus decoder to run all three servos in the wing. And use the regulator to power the decoder thus the servos. But again the signal wire will be running on 2s lipo which is higher than the power supply. Is it a problem?
  20. I have the same problem with thrcut. What I don't understand is when I move the th stick to the lowest setting the servo arm is adjusted to leave a small opening on the carb. So with the 14sg setting method I won't be able to adjust the thrcut because I can only set from that point upwards. How did you adjust your setting. Would you please explain with more detail? Thanks
  21. The plane is too small my mate had a hard time seeing it on the screen. but still nice memory. i'll add the link to the video below. Last week i took astro hog to some more flights. i had a very nice and long flight, the second flight i had forgotten to put fuel and very soon after i took off the engine stopped and i made an emergency landing to a wheat field and broke the plastic screws on the landing gear. on the third flight the engine stopped again, we couldn't figure out why it happened and blamed the poorer setting of the needle too soon. this emergency landing unfortunately didn't end very lucky. The vertical stabilizer since glued only by its bottom surface. became loose and one of the hinges of the elevator broke loose from the horizontal stabilizer. all fixed know but i would suggest to add balsa sticks with triangular profile to glue the vertical to the horizontal stabilizer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7jlim1P4mA
  22. Hi guys. Yesterday I did the first two flights. It flies smoothly. It is really easy to fly. Rolls and loops are nice. I loved it. There is a video on YouTube. But I don't know how to add a link properly.
  23. i covered my hog red and white. not very satisfied with the red stripe on the sides.
  24. long time no updates and very few progress. the engine is installed to a break-in setup.
