How many motor on one esc
Jump Jet replied to crispin church's topic in General Electric Flight Chat
I dont like the sound of 1 ESC and 2 motors and whereas it might work it does not mean its the correct way to do it. I have always and will always use one ESC per motor on all of my twins etc. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); -

Flaps and elevator mix
Jump Jet replied to Mike Phillips's topic in Gliders and Gliding - General Discussion
Different planes do different things. Best way is to watch what the plane does when you hit the flaps. Unless you use a delay you will notice a balloning of the plane for a few seconds so let that happen before you check if to add up or down -
i want one lol

I find this more of a problem on electric models rather that nitro/petrol but a gentle pull out on a blade as you tighten seems to do the trick

my wife thinks my 'toy' planes cost very little and more importantly she never takes any interested so she never notices the 10 new planes purchased every year...and long may it continue...
-
what a sound they make

Sometimes you can 'steer' the airflow to the head with help of deflectors made from balsa etc. Iften the air going in does very little to help with cooling as it misses the engine.

You might need a piston or crankshaft stopper but often you can nip them up quickly so the prop bites on the backplate.

Its funny how they take it faster than they give it back hehe
