  7. Different planes do different things. Best way is to watch what the plane does when you hit the flaps. Unless you use a delay you will notice a balloning of the plane for a few seconds so let that happen before you check if to add up or down

  12. I'm never without baby wipes, they clean most things
  13. I find this more of a problem on electric models rather that nitro/petrol but a gentle pull out on a blade as you tighten seems to do the trick
  14. my wife thinks my 'toy' planes cost very little and more importantly she never takes any interested so she never notices the 10 new planes purchased every year...and long may it continue...
  15. Sometimes you can 'steer' the airflow to the head with help of deflectors made from balsa etc. Iften the air going in does very little to help with cooling as it misses the engine.

  18. You might need a piston or crankshaft stopper but often you can nip them up quickly so the prop bites on the backplate.
