    T-21 GLIDER

my 1/4 scale T-21 is sadly for sale,it is now too big for me to transport,as a result l have not flown it for a couple of years,it needs the paint work tidying up as a result of languishing in the workshop, all offers considered, thanks, jack.
  3. Hi all, daft question but, what is the best adhesive to use for bonding to polyester base grp???,back in the day l used araldite, never had a problem, but l have not fitted out a grp fuz for many years,so am wondering what is the best to use nowadays???,l know that epoxy does not bond to grp,so l am tempted to use araldite again, cheers, jack.

    1/3 pawnee u/c

sell or swap a set of 1/3rd scale PA25 pawnee u/c....this is a Hangar 9 set of gear with wheels and dampers and is totally unused,l bought it a while ago but plans changed,so its now in need of a home,no idea of value now,but it wasnt cheap, offers please or am willing to swap, possibly a 1/5 or 1/6 scale glider airframe???
  5. Hl,this came to me from Cliff at laser cut sailplanes with a built up wing kit,l had one "way back in the day with the canopy airbrake,so l decided that it was time for another, enter cliff stage left!!,but l dont plan on installing the canopy airbrake though!!!,thanks for your help, all the best, jack.
  6. Hi all, just come in to possesion of a sean bannister algebra and am looking for info on the "t"tail setup.....there seems to be a few versions of the algebra tail set up,the fus l have has the moulded cap above the rudder which also carries the tailplane, any info much appreciated, thanks, jack.🎆🎉 happy new year!!!
  7. thanks all, fantastic response!!!!!,l believe l will contact the BMFA to clarify things further, also,l will get the clay club to check with their insurers,l agree that a delta design may well be the way to go.
  8. ok gentlepersons, this is a weird one!!,l have been approached by a local clay pidgeon shooting club as to the possibility of supplying a target aircraft and pilot services.....l am not even sure if this would be legal, but, assuming it is,can anyone suggest a suitable airframe,to be powered by a .40 glow engine????,l really dont think an electric set up would be advisable for obvious reasons, build costs would need to be low, this is a new one on me,cant wait to reqad the responses!!!!
  9. hi all,got a prob with my tx16s,l updated the tx to 2.3.11 okay,l also changed to a new 32gig sd card, but when l put the card back into the tx and power up l get a "bad radio data" message and l really dont know why, switching back to the original sd card gets the tx working fine again....the replacement card is brand new and has been reformatted, the sd data came from open tx,l must be doing somethimg wrong but cannot work out what....can anyone help???,cheers jack.
  10. Anybody know where l can get a small footed tacking iron???....cant seem to find a supplier anywhere.....l know they used to exist but maybe no longer, anyone have one for sale??,pm me if so,thanks, jack.
  11. in case its of any interest,l have an original fuselage for a MINI RACER from solent sailplanes......l also have some info regarding wing sections etc.......if there are any competent mould makers out there l would be willing to make my grp fuselage availiable to produce a mould from,it isnt a full size ridge racer l know, but its maybe the next best thing!!!,pm me if there is any interest,....jack.
  12. well now alan, should you need to find a good home for your mijet there is always room in my hanger!!.....l am on a long term nostalgia trip, looking to revisit the designs of my (misspent) youth!!!,l flew on the malverns back in the day,my Mijet being my favourite......PM me if you would like to sell!!!....jack.
  13. sorry piers, but l too had a mijet back in the day,and it wasnt a "wing",looked just like the one for sale!!
  14. thanks for that caveman...email sent waiting to hear back
  15. never mind covid-19...l seem to have contracted nostalgiitus, way back in the mists of time l bought a secondhand slope soarer called a MIJET,l am experiencing the urge to own one again and so l am wondering if anyone out there may possibly posses a plan l could buy??,l had a lot of fun with this model up on the Malvern hills,l would even be willing to buy a complete model regardless of condition....l realise that this is a very long shot, but if you don't ask you don't get!!!,thanks guys, jack.
  16. cheers nigel,l will post some pics when l get a chance....trying to complete a 1:3 scale slingsby petrel for a friend,so my own models take a bit of a back seat,l will be aiming for the lower end of the performance envelope,so we will see how the 3s/1300mah gets on,the motor and esc will cope with 4s,but l think my preference will be for a 3s,l would like to keep the weight down to around the 2 lbs mark if l can,all the best, jack.
  17. cheers nigel, photos are great, like you l really don't like glueing servos in,its a safe bet that they will need to be replaced at some point, got some good servos on order from 4MAX,2.5 Kg pull-will do for me-,motor and esc from there as well,Hbbyking UK have shut down or l would have gone there...l am estimating an auw of around 2lbs,l have a 3s/1300 lipo to hand so will see how it goes on that.....stay vsafe, jack.
  18. Hi nigel, thanks for that,l was thinking that it is probably a bit of a mover, that was one of the reasons l binned the servos etc,l am treating this model like a new kit and fitting all new gear, would l be right in thinking that the tailplane is retained by clear tape?,l don't see any other means of retention....really looking forward to getting this model in the air, that is if we ever get to go flying again, take care, stay safe, jack.
  19. thanks nigel,an officer and a gentleman!!,what size motor do you have in yours?,the drive train bits that came with the model look kind of dodgy so l will be replacing them along with the collection of odd servos that were included, got some on order with 4max,but the motor l have...1100Kv/200 watt...looks a bit rough so needs replacing, thanks for your help, pics to follow, stay safe, jack.
  20. hi nigel, yes, thats the one,l suppose that l may as well fit a motor, the fuz has nose intakes for cooling,l can always machine up a nose block to attach to the motor shaft in place of the prop assembley….the model just needs finishing off in a few places to be ready to fly,if we are ever allowed out again that is,l would very much appreciate copies of any instructions etc you may have, will cover any costs of course, all the best, jack.
  21. Hi all,l have just come in to possession of a very nice glider and am looking for more info on it...its from a company called "Frankenmodellbau" and the model is a "Highlight Mega",apparently the kit was/is stocked by West London Models, the model l have appears to be an unfinished kit,but confusion arises as to whether it was meant to be an electric model or a lightweight slope soarer, the info l have found so far indicates its a glider, but the fuz nose looks like its intended to accept a motor, any info gratefully received!!....jack
  22. regarding my posts on the twin l recently bought,l am not really sure what size prop to use on it,as l said,it appears to be around 100cc,using a pair of crrc piston/cylinders,each of around 50cc,giving a total of 100cc,so it will swing a fairly big prop,l intend using an rxcel ignition set,so can anyone give me an idea as to prop size?,not really a petrol head so this is likely a daft question!!!.....jack,
  23. hi chris, the plan you want will be the mk 1 version,l believe they are still availiable from mr foss….l used to have one but not sure if l still have it,will p.m you if l have, jack.
