  6. Hi Brian thanks i just have to build it, theres a pull towards doing it, as his planes are very straight forward, and very unique. i like the fact that that its open to upgrading, and adapting and resolving, so i have to look positivly at this one. yes the fuz is fascinating, and will have to be re disigned a touch i recon or like the tony nijhuis dc3, which is supposed to have an elastic band to pull the nose cone on lol cheers Brian maybe a rebuild your end maybe i do remember that kit awesome
  7. test fit !! ok the main spars turned up from slec so it has begun lol
  8. yes the 2 part fuz doesnt seem to connect any where else lol
  9. i Chris thank you yes i have ordered the ply spars for this one i thinking and hoping that this is correct the outer wing panels are quite an interesting design like you have to file from 1/2 36 inch long spar to 1/8 at the tip lol , its quite off putting but i feel i need this one as experience lol i have been in a few chats with sarik about this and i must admit im sitting on the verge of building it /or giving up
  10. sorry yes i did say slec it is infact the full kit and plans from sarik
  11. yes this is all the full kit from sarik
  12. it did come from a magazine ill post a few picks here
  13. the center section with nacells and side view ive looked everywhere and doesnt say what type of wood
  14. Hi Martin not at all thank you for the info i have built lots and lots of diffrent dc3s from tony nijuis to ziroli ,so seasoned may be a word lol i am starting with the center section wing ,which has half the fuz attached ,but it doesnt show what the wood for the spars is, either / spruce or stronger balsa ,i would have imagined that if the center section is holding 2 outer panel wings then it must be ply or obechi, in theorey
  15. Hi all i have recently been trying to build this model from slec the plan has a lot of information missing like dimmensions of parts listed, It does not seem to show information like what type of wood is used etc I seem to be at a loss with this kit which is a shame considering how much i paid for it! i write here on this forum with the smallest of hopes that someone had allready built this and can give some tips cheers. if no replies then i think im going to try and make a build log here kind regards Paul ok so here's a start

  17. Hi all Can i ask im stuck on the shape front and rear of the wing faring especially the curving around the front part to the underside,,im just not getting it somehow, have done the obvious part where the former curves around, but the front is really stumping me any help would be greatly appreciated paul
  18. Hi All i have found my winter build for this year and up to spring i hope it is the Robin Fowler Dc3/C47 this is an 8ft wing span and comes apart in 5 sections ,the wing center section has half of the fuz with the cocpit fully connected, then the 2 outer wings that slide into the center wing, then the tail section half of the fuz ...very transportable.. this looks really difficult, because the grain on some of the formers run in differant directions, so it looks like a load of cutting is needed, and it only comes with the abs moldings so in a funny way ive got my work.....cut out lol
