Cheers Jim I was not sure of the size I needed. regards Rusty

mmm it does sound like its leaning out, so i Only have one idea, Could the tank be vibrating and thus aerating the fuel, sounds a bit far fetched but I have seen it before. rusty

Hey folks I need so help, I need a a spinner or nut for my SC .70 which is on an AT-6 texan, what size or type do I need? thanks rusty
-
I have used thmy with good effect on my wot 4 and pulse xt, I think it works well on models with long near full width ailerons . Dont think I will chance it with my first powered semi scale AT-6 though. I found the pulse xt fairly slippery, and on approach just would not slow down. rusty

the oil or fuel it could be, may be as a result of the main needle being to rich in an attempt to address the air leak which would be leaning it back down. rusty
-
David it must be very lean I would say, Any air leaks beyond the carb is not good as it leans out the mixture also. rusty

Cheers Ady, I was not really sure what the 10 -15 15 -25 sizes meant. thanks again rusty

Posted by John Hickson on 05/11/2012 15:56:19: Does anyone do a starter cone that would fit in a battery drill? I have tried this before and it does not work as the RPM is way to low, Most drills wont go beyond 1800 or so rusty

Tucano Signing Up Thread

Me too fellas when, when is the start date anyway? rusty -
I read a book about Johnnie Johnson, It was called Spitfire Ace of Aces. Some real interesting stuff in it. Written by Dilip Sarkar, worth a read for sure! rusty

Sorry to crash the thread lads, But I have the sc.70 also and I have had it running real good on the test bed, However I wasn't able to see the throttle opening when I was running. What size of a gap in the throttle should there be? Or is it just a case of what works for the motor, I am not sure if the gap is critical to needle set up? rusty Edited By Rusty C on 18/10/2012 20:48:48

Hi guys I have recently bought a seagull AT-6 for the recently acquired SC .70 from our own Weasel. I have not taken delivery yet, But I have been thinking about the build and I am unsure of this retracts malarky as I have never used them. It comes with mechanical type, And I was wondering if using a separate battery for them would be a good idea? If so how would i go about this? I had also thought that maybe I could fit some E Flite retracts as these may work better? Thanks Rusty

Running a straight Glow Engine on petrol with (virtually) no mods
Rusty C replied to Simon Chambers's topic in IC Engines
Sounds like it could be worth a shot, Maybe a wee winter shed project. Lets us know if you try it yourself. I find it hard to see how it would work though, And if it does why is it not more well known ? rusty -

mmmm Very interesting, However I cant see it being to reliable, Surely pre ignition would be a major issue. not to mention the lack of lubrication Pre detonation ( edit) rusty Edited By Rusty C on 15/10/2012 21:01:45 -
A Saw would not be great, more likely to break I would think. rusty

That'll do for me" thats your tunning mate!! I find the same Lee, And I dont think it has castor in it? anyone know for sure?
